All three of our Augustana choirs (120 singers), members of Camrose Camerata (Joy-Anne Murphy conductor), Chorale Saint-Jean Edmonton (Laurier Fagnan conductor) and the Requiem Orchestra join forces to present Requiem for the Living by Dan Forrest. With over 180 singers and a full professional orchestra, this may be the grandest concert of the year on the Lougheed Centre stage. Requiem for the Living is a new work, written in 2014, has been performed around the world to rave reviews and is being recognized for its grandeur and timeless beauty. Originally known as a “mass for the dead”, the requiem has over the past two centuries been recognized as a work of hope and comfort to the living. Chorale Saint-Jean and The Augustana Choir will also perform solo selections in this concert of hope and promise.
