What’s inside Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre?
There are two performing-arts spaces in the Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre: The main stage is the Cargill Theatre, with seating for 584 on two sloped floors. The second space is the Mayer Family Community Hall, which seats up to 200, depending on the configuration of seating.
We also have a beautiful lobby space with direct access to the outdoor plaza.
Is the Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre fully accessible?
Yes. The Cargill Theatre and the Mayer Family Community Hall are fully accessible. Washrooms on the main floor and all dressing rooms are also accessible.
Is the Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre a licensed facility?
Yes. The main floor bar opens one hour before the start of each performance and again at intermission. Bar service in the Mayer Family Community Hall will be offered depending on the event.
Reusable cups are also available to purchase for patrons.
Does the facility have a coat check?
Yes. Coat check is available on the main floor level just to the right of the main entrance, beside the box office pick up window.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Bottled water, juice, pop and light snacks are available for sale and there is full bar service at the Theatre. Bottled water purchased on-site, or reusable cups purchased on site, will be permitted inside the Cargill Theatre. Outside food is not allowed in the Theatre.
Does the Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre cancel shows due to inclement weather?
Performances are rarely cancelled. In the event of a severe weather cancellation, standard policies regarding exchanges and/or refunds are still in effect.
Are children allowed in the theatre?
Children should be able to sit quietly in their own seats throughout a performance. Infants aged 0 to 18 months are permitted to sit on an the lap of an adult free of charge. No car seats or strollers are allowed in the Theatre. Please check these items at our Coat Check. If you are in doubt about bringing a child to a particular production, please ask before buying tickets. If your child is not able to sit quietly during the performance, you may be asked to leave the Theatre until the child is able to return to its seat. Every production has a recommended viewing age, please check our website or with our Box Office for details.
How early should I arrive?
We suggest that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to curtain. Those arriving after the show begins will be seated by Front of House Staff during an appropriate break in the program at which time the appropriate seating location will be at the discretion of Management.
How long is the show?
Each show has a different running time. Please check the individual productions on our website or call the Box Office to obtain the running time of the production you’re attending.
Does Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre sell Gift Certificates?
Yes! Gift Certificates are the perfect gift every time, for every occasion. Gift Certificates can be purchased online, by phone and in person. You decide the appropriate amount.
Do you offer discounts for Children, Students or Seniors?
Where applicable discounts are offered to seniors, those 60 years of age or over, Students, those with valid high school ID, or Children 12 and under.
The actual price and discount of the ticket is determined by the date, time and the seat location. Sorry, no other discounts apply on already discounted tickets.
How many tickets do I need to purchase at one time to qualify for Group Rates?
Group Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more where available. If you need information about whether you qualify for group rates, please contact the box office.
Do I have to purchase tickets in advance or can I wait to buy them when I arrive at the Theatre?
Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre does not require you to purchase tickets in advance; however if you want the best seat selection and to ensure you can get a seat for the shows you wish to see, we suggest you purchase your tickets in advance. This will also prevent you from having to line up at the box office prior to entering the theatre.
Can I take pictures of a performance?
Cameras, video cameras and any other image or sound-recording devices are all strictly prohibited in the Theatre. We know you want to stay in touch but for the sake of your fellow patrons, and so you can truly enjoy the show, turn down your phone and keep it stowed away during a performance.
Can I tweet or text during the show?
Please be considerate of fellow patrons and refrain from tweeting or texting during the show. We do want you to share your experience with others so please like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter and Instagram. We do love being social, however, so feel free to tag us, our location or add us to your stories and check-ins before and after a performance. I am hearing impaired. Does Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre offer amplification?
Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre has an infrared sound enhancement system for the hearing impaired. If you require a headset please ask one of our Front of House Staff when you arrive at the Theatre and they will be more than glad to assist you. Please note: A piece of ID or Credit Card will be required as a deposit while the headset is in your possession (don’t worry, it will be returned when you return the headset at the end of the performance).
What does my ticket price include?
All tickets include a facility fee of $3.25 + gst. Advertised prices do not include applicable taxes unless otherwise indicated.
I can’t attend the show, can I get a refund?
Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre does not offer refunds on any ticket purchases.
Can I exchange my tickets?
Tickets purchased for a Lougheed Centre presented show can be exchanged for a different Lougheed Centre presented event in the same season, up to 4 (four) weeks before the performance. Lougheed presented events are those included in our season brochure.
All other events are facility rentals and as such are not included. Ticket sales for rental events are final.
If a performance runs on more than one date, an exchange of “date” will be accepted.
Exchanges are subject to availability and do not apply to missed performances.
What if I lose my tickets?
If you lose your tickets, please call the Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre Box Office at (780) 608 2922 as soon as possible. We can reprint your tickets at no charge provided we are contacted by original ticket purchaser.
I’ve ordered Print-at-Home tickets online and did not receive them, what should I do?
You should receive your Print at Home tickets as a PDF attachment to the email address that you provided in your order and you should receive them almost immediately. If you have not received your tickets by the next day, please contact the Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre Box Office at (780) 608 2922.
The most common reasons people do not receive their Print-at-Home tickets are: 1) they have entered their email address incorrectly in their orders; 2) the email from Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre is flagged as spam and rejected. To ensure you receive email from Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre, please add boxoffice@camroselive.ca to your email address book or spam filter permission list.
How do I get to the theatre?
Our street address is 4501 50 Street Camrose. From 48 Ave, turn South onto 50th Street to reach the entrance to the parking lot. Below is a Google map which will give you directions to the theatre from all points. If you need assistance finding us please contact the box office at (780) 608-2922.

How do I redeem a Gift Certificate for tickets?
All gift certificates can be redeemed online, or in person at the box office. If your total order is more than the value of your gift certificate and you are purchasing online, the difference can charged to a credit card, or if in person can be charged to a credit card, paid with your debit card, or paid by cash.
I have a voucher good for tickets. How do I redeem it?
You can only redeem your voucher in person at the box office. Vouchers are subject to ticket availability. Vouchers have no cash value. When stipulated a voucher may only be redeemed for the performance indicated on it.
Can I have my tickets mailed to me?
Yes. When ordering over the phone just let the box office know you would like your tickets mailed to you. When ordering tickets online, select “Mail out Tickets” as your delivery method. The cost for mailing out tickets is $4.
I’m entitled to a discount. How can I apply it to online ticket purchases?
If you are eligible for a discount, there is a Promo Code box online where you can enter your discount code. Alternatively, we would be more than happy to help book your tickets either in person or over the phone (standard service charges apply when booking over the phone). Discounts must be mentioned at the time of purchase.
What should I wear?
Depending on the event, our patrons will probably be dressed in business casual or dressed casually. You should be comfortable during the show, first and foremost.
Where can I park?
Free parking is provided on site at the University of Alberta Augustana Campus. Street parking along 50 St is also available at no cost. Please be aware that events at the Lougheed Centre may not be the only events happening on campus at any time so parking may be limited. Allow yourself enough time to find a suitable parking spot which will not put you, your vehicle or other patrons in any danger.
Additional Courtesy Reminders:
We encourage you to start discussion about what you are experiencing during intermission or after the show; so hold that thought! Likewise, unwrapping a candy during a performance can be disruptive. We suggest you take a minute before curtain to unwrap your candy or lozenges.
Scents and Allergies:
Please consider others when using items such as colognes, perfumes and hairspray. If you are experiencing such difficulties due to your seating location, please speak to an usher about the possibility of relocating.
