A Show for Everyone in Camrose

There’s something for everyone at the Jeanne and Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre in Camrose.

Our shows in November and December are a mix of folk and rock, Christmas celebrations, and a nostalgic take on the 1970s Christmastime.

First Up: Leahy: Celtic Roots and Christmas Cheer – Thursday, Nov. 23

This lively Celtic performance will feature a great night of music and celebration. Look no further than Celtic Roots and Christmas Cheer, a moving concert featuring the award winning Canadian musical group, Leahy. With deep roots in Canadian folk and Celtic music culture, Leahy will enthrall you with their infectious energy, impressive musicianship, and dynamic performance. Note: This performance is pretty much sold out!

Finger Eleven – Friday, Nov. 24

One of Canada’s best-selling bands, Juno Award-winning rockers Finger Eleven have built a long-lasting legacy and are playing Camrose on Friday, Nov. 24 with their genre-defying sound (spanning cathartic metal and alt-rock balladry to danceable funk, power pop, and beyond) that continues to keep fans on their toes.
This performance kicks off with an acoustic set, followed by an electric set after the intermission.

Shumka’s Nutcracker – Friday, Dec. 8 and Saturday, Dec. 9

The magic returns this Christmas…Shumka’s Nutcracker returns to the Jeanne and Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre for two shows.
An annual Christmas tradition in Edmonton, Shumka’s Nutcracker blends the grace and lyrical nature of classical movement with the strength and power of Ukrainian character dance, leaving audiences exhilarated and entertained.

Jess Moskaluke: Winter Wonderland – Saturday, Dec. 16

Singing holiday favourites and her hits, Jess Moskaluke is coming to the Cargill Theatre at the Jeanne and Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre.

She sent us this special message:

“Christmas is absolutely my favourite time of year. The twinkling lights, the frosty evergreens, and especially the time spent with family and extra cheer and care for one another. I wanted to embody all of that and bring it to you on this Winter Wonderland tour. Happy holidays- love jess.”

Closing out our 2023 shows is none other than Tim Tamashiro!

With stories and music from that era, Timmy’s Happy Christmas, 1974 is sure to get you into the holiday spirit. You’ll relive memories from your childhood that still ring in your heart!
