
Milton Schlosser
In his first appearance at the Jeanne and Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre since moving from Camrose in 2017, pianist Milton Schlosser will present an enchanting recital entitled “Moonlight.” Along with Beethoven’s famous sonata of the same title and Debussy’s “Claire de lune,” he will perform other well-known pieces by Chopin and JS Bach. Known for his wide interests, Milton will also play blues-infused classical works, including those by Barber and Kapustin.
About Milton
Milton Schlosser resided in Camrose for over three decades during which he was an award-winning professor at UAlberta’s Augustana Campus. Hailed by the Vancouver Sun as “a stylish and feeling soloist,” he has recorded 5 CDs, performed nationally on CBC Radio, and has performed in China, Ireland, France, Germany, the US, and Japan. Today, he resides in Victoria, BC, where he is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Victoria. Along with his musical activities, he trains and competes as an amateur triathlete.
