Three Outdoor Shows, Three Memorable Experiences

·

The time has come for our brand new outdoor concert series in Camrose.

Held at the Jeanne and Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre in August, it’s a chance to celebrate music in an outdoor stage.

Thanks to the support of a brand new sponsor, we have a series name as well! Dubbed the Strada Coffee Co. & Artisan Bakery Summer on the Plaza, there are three shows coming up this August. We also want to thank CFCW 840 and New Country 98.1 for being our media sponsor.

Andrew Allen – Tuesday, Aug. 1 @ 7:30 p.m.

Andrew Allen’s DIY ability and optimistic attitude have served him well. He’s scored five Top 10 hits in Canada, 2009′s “I Wanna Be Your  Christmas”, 2010’s “Loving You Tonight” which was lodged in the upper reaches of the charts for more than 22 weeks. 2011’s “I Want You”, 2015’s “What You Wanted” and 2016’s “Favourite Christmas Song”!

His benchmark single “Loving You Tonight”, a lilting, sunny tune about an ideal romance, got Andrew signed to EPIC Records and helped put Andrew on tour with acts like Bruno Mars, One Republic, Andy Grammer, The Script, Train, Joshua Radin and The Barenaked Ladies…with the official music video garnering more than 4 million views and over 100,000 copies sold worldwide.

Paula Neder – Friday, Aug. 18

Paula Neder is an author, composer, and music producer who intertwines folk music with rock and pop. She is one of the leading voices on the music scene in Mendoza, Argentina. Currently lives in Medellin, Colombia. Since her debut she has won the “Uno Escenario” award for Best Female Artist Album and Album of the Year by Diario La Nación.

In 2015 she was one of the winners of the “Buenos Aires Youth Art Biennial”, Argentina. In 2016 she won the “Uno Escenario” Award for Best Musical Production and Album of the Year from La Nación, a renowned Argentine newspaper. Paula will be in Camrose for a song-creation residency leading up to her concert.

Paula’s performance stemmed from a special trade mission to Columbia. Performing arts centre directors were able to be part of a special artist showcase in Columbia and also meet artists from the area. Paula Neder is one of two performers touring Canada because of that trade mission.
