Experience the “extraordinary beauty” of traditional ballet with a uniquely Canadian twist in Ballet Jörgen’s Swan Lake. Reimagined in the 18th-century seascape of Nova Scotia’s Fortress of Louisbourg, this production follows the most eligible bachelor in New France, Prince Siegfried, as he falls for a young woman under the spell of the sorcerer Von Rothbart. This “sparkling” rendition captures the classic struggle between good and evil through stunning 18th-century costumes and Tchaikovsky’s timeless, “pulse-pounding” score.
